The historical novel: not at all the same as an historical account.

Work has begun on my second novel. Read about progress so far and some of the history which inspires the story.

The novel is set in the small Norwegian town of Drøbak and in the capital, Oslo. I can’t, of course, give away too much, but in this blog post, you’ll find three real locations in the story.

My voice as a writer comes from many directions; some literary, some philosophical, and some from my own experience. And it would be impossible for my former profession as a landscape architect not to have influenced me as a novelist.

On 21st May 2019, I was lucky to secure an interview with PST, the Norwegian Police Security Service. This interview led me to secure a reading of a security service report, and INVASION was born.
